GoCorporate from AirAsia customises travel planning
Singapore AirAsia has launched GoCorporate, offering corporates a platform to manage and monitor travel plans, gain access to reports over staff movements, and set their own corporate-travel policies. The customised online booking website offers clients an effective means of managing air-travel costs. Corporations that handle more than 500 flight sectors per year can register for AirAsia GoCorporate. Those who qualify will be assigned a personalised website, and a company account identifier which is password protected. The website contains information related to the travel needs of organisations, enabling greater control of corporate-travel planning. AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes said: "We are pleased to launch GoCorporate, AirAsia's latest service designed for corporations who want to make a difference to their business practise. We recognise that companies in this day and age share a common concern - how to reduce unnecessary costs and expenses while maintaining the growth and dynamics of its organisation." Corporates including GlaxoSmithKline, Silverlake System and Resorts World have registered for GoCorporate. "The volume of domestic travel and enhanced efficiency of booking tickets through a dedicated corporate website justify GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to tie-up with a low cost, no frill airline", said Jude Braganza, finance director, GSK Pharmaceuticals. "GSK hopes to reduce travel booking administrative time, travel plan assistance on availability of flight timings, destinations and travel patterns and on-the-spot spend report." Malaysian DMC, Asian Overland Services Tours and Travel group MD Anthony Wong said he would be keen to work with AirAsia if its flight frequency increased. AirAsia operates over 100 domestic and international daily flights from three hubs in KL International Airport, Johor Bahru and Bangkok.
