The event gave guests, who arrived by the busload from the main Spikes Asia venue Suntec, a chance to check out the internet giant's digs while sampling various drinks and ice cream cones. The strong turnout had door staff asking incoming guests to wait in the sweltering night for a while before entering. Campaign Asia-Pacific reporters were told that the party had swelled to more than 500, significantly exceeding the venue's official capacity. Once admitted, they found ample examples of socialising and networking in full swing, and the only complaint voiced was that the wait staff was too quick to pick up partially full (or partially empty, depending on your disposition) glasses, which had a way of disappearing if not watched with extreme vigilance.
