CJ Entertainment picks TBWA to raise box office numbers

SEOUL - CJ Entertainment, South Korea's largest entertainment company, has appointed TBWA Korea to handle its US$4 million domestic movie account, following a pitch that included incumbent Cheil and Innocean.

TBWA is expected to assume all above-the-line duties for the business when it takes over from Cheil in March. According to a senior source at the agency, the film company is looking to achieve a high level of box office attraction for all productions within the domestic market. The source declined to comment on the reason behind the transfer of the business.

CJ Entertainment is part of domestic conglomerate CJ Corporation. Having invested in DreamWorks SKG in 1995, it operates as the Korean distributor of Paramount Pictures films.
