Jean-Michel Wu has spent over two decades shaping how leadership is identified, developed, and aligned across the Asia Pacific's marketing and communications industry.

His career began in the agency world at Ogilvy before holding regional leadership roles across WPP and McCann Worldgroup. At McCann, he supported the rebuilding of approximately 70% of the regional leadership team over three years, transforming a fragmented structure into a cohesive, high-performing group. At WPP, he built and led the internal talent acquisition function across Asia Pacific, introducing ‘Springboard’, an internal mobility platform later adopted globally.

A defining shift came with his move into executive search, spending over a decade placing hundreds of senior leaders across APAC for global holding groups including Omnicom, WPP, and Publicis. As APAC CEO of Grace Blue, he expanded the firm's regional footprint and advised on senior leadership transformation for organisations, including Dentsu.

In founding Tripitakka, Wu introduced an integrated model combining executive search with leadership advisory and coaching. Over six years, he has served as a trusted advisor to Omnicom Media Group across Asia Pacific, supporting leadership hiring, coaching, and team development. An ICF professional certified coach with over 3,000 hours of coaching and more than 250 individuals coached, he has championed the appointment of female leaders into senior roles across the region and consistently challenged traditional hiring models to broaden the definition of leadership potential.

To Quote: “His ability to coach and challenge senior leaders is both thoughtful and impactful, with tangible benefits for individuals and the teams they lead. JM is a shaper of leadership and someone who plays a meaningful role in building stronger, more effective organisations for the future.” - Tony Harradine, CEO Asia at Omnicom Media Group
