Three networks pitching for global Adidas account

WPP’s EssenceMediacom is the incumbent on the account.

Adidas: Globally, the account was worth US$512 million in billings in 2025.

Three networks are pitching for Adidas’s global media account: Publicis, Omnicom and WPP.

WPP’s EssenceMediacom is the incumbent on the account, having initially won it as a MediaCom account in 2018.

Before appointing MediaCom in 2018, Adidas had worked with Carat for more than two decades.

Globally, the account was worth US$512 million (£377 million) in billings in 2025, with US$26 million (£19 million) of that spent in the UK.

EssenceMediacom’s work for Adidas has included planning and buying for its “You got this” brand platform and “The Original” campaign, both of which have earned it a spot on the Campaign Media Awards shortlist this year.

Omnicom acquired IPG towards the end of 2025, with the latter handling the media planning and buying account for rival sports brand Adidas.

WPP, Publicis and Omnicom declined to comment when approached by Campaign and Adidas did not respond to requests for comment.
