Munas van Boonstra has exited Monks after four years with the agency, most recently serving as managing director for Southeast Asia. She led strategy across operational transformation, client growth and financial performance. Previously, she was the MD of Media.Monks Malaysia from 2022 to 2024. "It has been an honour and one of the greatest joys of my career to build meaningful partnerships, create impactful work and share so many important milestones together," she told Campaign Asia-Pacific in a statement.
A MediaMonks spokesperson added: "We are in smooth transition and confident that all client projects will continue at the same high standard. A clear succession and handover plan is already underway with her successor to ensure continuity across all accounts." Before her tenure at Monks, she held senior leadership roles including head of client partner at Publicis One Kuala Lumpur, chief marketing officer at MYTV Broadcasting, and head of activation and PR at BBDO Kuala Lumpur. She served as jury at Spikes Asia 2026 for Creative Effectiveness and Creative Strategy.
WPP has elevated long-time executive Rose Herceg to chief executive officer for Australia and New Zealand. The role was previously vacant following Jens Monsees' departure as CEO of WPP AUNZ in 2021. Herceg has spent more than 17 years with the network following WPP’s merger with STW in 2016. She previously founded Pophouse, a social‑trends agency she sold to STW Group in 2007. She assumed the chief strategy officer role in 2016, and was promoted to president for AUNZ in 2022. She is based in Sydney.
TBWA Hong Kong taps Joyce Li as social media and business director in a strategic move to focus on driving business results and drive growth through culturally informed strategies for Hong Kong's most ambitious brands. Reporting to general manager Ida Mak, Li’s newly created hybrid role will help clients accelerate growth and better position the agency as a multi-faceted partner to meet evolving needs of the market. Li joins from independent agency Narrow Door, and was previously group account director.
Snap has let go of its APAC director of communications Natasha Brack after four years with the company. Brack's is one of 1,000 globally affected jobs as the company pushes towards AI-driven global restructure. While based in Sydney, she led the launch of Snapchat in India, Japan and Vietnam and built the company’s communications blueprint for a world’s first social media age-restriction online safety legislation in Australia. She will conclude her role in May.
Australia-based data expert Andy Ford has joined Canva after only three months with Analytic Partners as associate vice president role. This move follows Canva’s shift towards developing a marketing production suite and plans to pursue potential IPO next year. Australia-based Ford has had a decade-long career in marketing analytics, leading data intelligence and marketing science at Coles 360 and Meta.
WPP Media has secured the media account for BYD Australia following a competitive pitch against Yango. The global media agency will oversee media buying and planning for the Chinese EV manufacturer, joining creative agency Taboo and communications agencies Thrive and Acuity. This win comes on the heels of the Chinese EV manufacturer's 100,000th vehicle delivery – signalling accelerated growth – since entering the Australian market four years ago.
Across the ditch, WPP Media New Zealand has tapped Sarah Kenny as head of data and technology, reporting to CEO John Halpin. Kenny returns to New Zealand from the agency's UK arm, bringing more than 20 years of expertise in data and technology strategies. Her past achievements include leading data and technology solutions at Wavemaker and contributing to the firm's recent success in winning the UK Government’s lead media agency contract.
Corporate communications expert Vero has partnered with independent creative communications firm Mad Hat Asia in a strategic move to expand its regional footprint in Southeast Asia, broadening its offerings to drive sustainable business growth and focus on long-term value creation. Together, their combined expertise spans seven markets, with a strong presence in Malaysia, growing capabilities in Singapore and special partnerships in Myanmar with Mad Hat Asia Founder Rengeeta Rendava and Vero CEO Brian Griffin at the helm.
McCann Philippines has promoted Mitzie Lim-Nacianceno to CEO and Bambi Reyes to COO, effective May 1. Lim-Nacianceno, previously VP and managing partner, has spent seven years building key client relationships, including San Miguel, Jollibee, Nestlé and Unilab, and will now lead the agency’s growth and creative direction. Reyes will focus on scaling operations and expanding the agency’s regional footprint, with an emphasis on performance, innovation and culture.
PHD Australia’s investment lead, Joanna Barnes, has departed the agency after more than a decade. Barnes joined PHD in 2014 as investment director and went on to hold senior roles, including head of trading Melbourne and national head of investment. In 2024, she was appointed chief media partnerships officer.
Sally Ng joins Singapore-headquartered adtech firm Adzymic as managing partner for North Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Ng will drive commercial growth and market development across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Greater Bay Area. She reports to executive director and co‑founder Kenniess Wong.
VaynerMedia Australia has expanded its leadership bench. The agency has appointed four seniors: Elle Batchelor has been named director of creator partnerships, APAC. Joining her are Sophie Tschuchnigg as project director, Belle Brown as client partner and Nathan Bramley as senior account director.
Ellerton & Co. has appointed Michael de Waal-Montgomery and Prayaank Gupta as partners, joining managing partner Oliver Ellerton to lead Asia-Pacific expansion. The move follows a year of doubled revenue, new multinational mandates, retainer wins across Greater Southeast Asia, and expansion into India and Japan.
Acuity, a sister agency to Thrive, has launched in Australia with founding managing director Snezna Kerekovic at the helm. The agency enters the market with a strong roster of clients like BYD, Reddit and global online education provider Pearson.
After five years as an independent shop Hero’s ECD in Australia, Shane Geffen will depart at the end of April. Incoming co-creative directors Andrew Woodhead and Sue Young will take over leadership responsibilities.
Omnicom Advertising Asia has named Ellie Brocklehurst as chief growth & marketing officer as part of a newly formed regional leadership team, assembled in the wake of the group's acquisition of IPG. Brocklehurst joins from TBWA Asia, where she served as CMO.
Meanwhile, Peter Khoury, chief creative officer, and chief strategy officer Emmanuel Sabbagh, as well as chief innovation officer Melissa Daniels, will take on expanded regional responsibilities while retaining their leadership roles at TBWA Singapore. Andreas Krasser adds the title of chief client partner to his role as CEO of Omnicom Advertising Hong Kong. Rounding out the team is S. Subramanyeswar, who steps in as chief knowledge officer post-acquisition, alongside his existing role as chief strategy officer for Omnicom Advertising India. The new structure is designed to strengthen long-term cultural relevance for brands across the region.
David Gatt has joined Omnicom Oceania as managing director, marketing operations & ecosystem design. Joining from Deloitte, Gatt brings more than 15 years of expertise in marketing automation and operating model design. In this newly created role, Gatt will help brands navigate the complex data and technology landscape, driving accountable and effective growth in an AI‑driven environment.
Tom Robinson has exited his CEO role at Edelman. Robinson spent nearly four years with the public relations agency in Australia, having taken on the position in 2022. Before joining Edelman, Robinson worked at MediaCom Australia for almost 11 years, where he held several senior roles, including Managing Partner, Creative Systems, and Head of Content Strategy and Distribution.
