Dentsu Inc has dissolved its joint venture agreements with Mandate
Advertising, with which it had formed two subsidiaries in Singapore and
Malaysia - Dentsu Mandate Singapore and Dentsu Mandate Malaysia.
Dentsu, which previously held stakes of 65 per cent and 58.5 per cent in
the respective subsidiaries, now owns 100 per cent of both firms.
An official release from Dentsu said the agency was now better placed to
offer existing local clients the same level of quality services it
supplies in Japan.
At the same time, attempts will be made to gain new accounts to support
future business expansion.
Mr Munehiko Goto has been named president of both Dentsu Singapore and
Dentsu Malaysia.
