BRANDING: Lion City reveals logo for IMF, WBG meetings in 2006

Local branding agency atomz i designed the logo. The agency will also develop event collaterals and an accompanying website.

Art director Patrick Lee and creative director Lily Chia conceptualised the design. It was picked out of 39 entries from 14 local and international design companies. Chia said: "The stylised lines are the longitudes, meeting at the apex to represent the connectivity of countries and world leaders gathering at the 2006 event. Gold relates to the financial sector and its contributions to the world economy."

The IMF and World Bank Group annual meetings are convened outside of its headquarters in Washington DC every three years and regularly attract more than 16,000 participants.
