Baidu, the largest Chinese search engine, has released a traditional Chinese search service, fueling speculation that it has plans to enter the Taiwan market.
The homepage of the traditional Chinese search service, tw.baidu.com, mirrors Baidu's simplified Chinese homepage. The tw in the domain name obviously refers to Taiwan.
Baidu has declined to comment.
Outside the Chinese mainland, Baidu also operates in Japan.
