The PR firms will be driving print, broadcast, and online exposure through elements including a branded pavilion for media briefings, meals, and crew interviews, plus sailing sessions aboard the boat with the team.

Targets for coverage include media in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan.

Competitors in the Volvo Ocean Race cover 39,000 miles on a nine-leg journey from Alicante, Spain, to Galway, Ireland, with stops including Cape Town, Abu Dhabi, Auckland, and Miami. The race began in September last year and will conclude in July. Sanya is the stopover between legs three and four.
