wwwins appoints Cheung to lead digital planning in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Digital marketing agency wwwins Consulting has appointed Brandon Cheung (pictured) as strategic planning director of its Hong Kong office, to be supported by Chris Anderson, who has been hired as a strategic planner.

The Aegis Group company’s managing director in Hong Kong, Chris Ryan, explained that the newly created positions were representative of increasing emphasis on strategic capabilities within the agency.

“We’re moving away from just web design and production to become more of a ‘thinking’ agency,” he said, adding that demand for digital planning was growing among clients in Hong Kong who were looking for greater accountability.

Prior to assuming his new role, Cheung worked as insight account director for Isobar. As well as developing new business for wwwins, he will work alongside clients such as Pernod Ricard and Procter & Gamble.

Additional clients in wwwins’ portfolio include adidas, Coca-Cola, Emirates, Northwest Airlines, The Peninsula, HSBC and Yahoo.
