Universal McCann in Australia grabs top Cannes prize

CANNES: Universal McCann, Sydney, has won the Grand Prix title at the Cannes Media Lions Awards.

The agency won with a Magnum ice cream campaign for client Unilever.

Lowe Singapore also shone for Asia-Pacific, with a Gold Lion win in film for client Ikea.

Ogilvy & Mather India picked up a gold in the press category for its anti-smoking campaign for the Cancer Patients Aid Association.

Saatchi & Saatchi also turned in a strong performance with a slew of press silvers for ads promoting China Light & Power's Oxygen broadband service. The agency picked up a silver Lion in the film category for the same campaign.
