Seoul launches new MICE team

SEOUL The Seoul City Government has announced that Koo Samyeol will be appointed CEO of the new Seoul Tourism Marketing, which is now responsible for promoting the city's convention industry.

As part of Seoul city’s mayor, Oh Sehoon’s strategy for the city, the Seoul Convention Bureau
has closed down its COEX office.

The newly formed Seoul Tourism Marketing will market all types of tourism in Seoul with the aim of gaining a competitive edge in the global market.

Sixteen private businesses including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Shilla Hotels and Lotte Tourism are part of the new organisation.
