SATELLITE & CABLE: CNA signs with Kabelvision

Regional news and information provider, Channel NewsAsia, has

stepped into Indonesia following an agreement with Kabelvision, an

Indonesian cable TV company.



Channel NewsAsia is to reach an estimated 30,000 subscribers as

Indovision markets Channel NewsAsia to hotels and service apartments in

the country.



Mr Shaun Seow, CEO, MediaCorp News, said: "Indonesia plays an important

role in our plan to launch in the region. With Asia being a region of

increasing importance in the global arena, we are dedicated to providing

our viewers with Asian perspectives of global events to enable them the

ability to formulate their own perspective in this fast changing

regional and global environment."



The channel became available to viewers on September 28.
