Regan gets top creative job at BBDO Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: BBDO Malaysia has hired Paul Regan as executive creative director as part of a wider effort to boost the agency's strategic and creative capabilities.

Regan has won numerous awards - media's Advertising Awards, Hong Kong 4As and the Creative Circle in Singapore - during more than 10 years in the industry in Asia, primarily with J. Walter Thompson.

He replaces Huang Ean Hwa, who has left BBDO to join McCann as joint ECD.

Meanwhile, a new unit has been set up to handle the Maxis telecom account, headed by Mariam Sarah Hashim, who has extensive regional brand management experience.

BBDO Malaysia CEO, Jennifer Chan, said: "The appointments give us an international perspective and combines that with Asian understanding, which will help us grow and enhance our reputation."
