
The licence, according to Profero, is the first of its kind for an advertising and media company in China following the relaxation of foreign ownership laws in 2005. BFF will later be re-branded as Profero. "Our licence allows us to, for example, approach building owners, create ad spaces on their properties, then market and sell them," said Daryl Arnold, group chief executive of Profero.
Meanwhile, Profero has teamed up with UK post-production company Golden Square to offer advertisers higher quality moving-image digital content.
The move sees Golden Square's Ben Leyland move from London to Profero's Shanghai office to take on the role of video producer. Leyland will initially be an employee of both companies, before a joint-equity indepen- dent company is created.
