Online auction to decide US$10 million Telkom

JAKARTA - Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) will decide its US$10 million media and creative accounts via an online auction held today.

The local agency saw off competition from Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB Avis and Avicom to clinch the assignment.

Of the three, two will be selected to handle three of state-owned Telkom’s offerings: fixed line, high-speed internet and mobile brand Flexi. Results are expected to be announced by the end of the year.

Telkom’s adspend for 2007 is estimated to be US$10 million, said a source, and the figure is likely to increase next year due to increased competition.
