MTV shifts from Good to Perfect

MTV Networks has chosen Perfect Relations as its public relations agency for MTV India and Nickelodeon, after a multi-agency pitch. The account was previously handled by Good Relations.

MTV shifts from Good to Perfect
An MTV spokesperson said: "Following the termination of the contract with Good Relations, we looked at our corporate communications and PR from a fresh perspective. We made internal changes, and opted for a new agency in Perfect Relations, which will handle the entire account, including corporate communications." The spokesperson attributed Perfect's win to its blend of experience in handling a media brand, PR savvy, nationwide network and association with companies like Coca-Cola India. Valerie Pinto, regional director (west) at Perfect Relations, said associate director Shashikant Someshwar would head the account and coordinate with MTV comms director Hemant Kenkre. "As the primary mandate was strategic media awareness and intelligence, our media team was a strong reason to choose us over any other agency. The basic challenge will be to grow the channel and increase penetration, with the right message," said Pinto. Perfect Relations will handle major events such as the MTV Style Awards and the Nick 'Let's Play' campaign.
