Mars China calls media pitch

BEIJING - Chocolate brand giant Mars China has invited a number of 4A media agencies for a pitch, as part of the brand's regular procurement requirement to review its agency every two to three years.

The invited agencies are believed to include Carat, OMD, Starcom, Zenith Media, MediaCom - the incumbent agency for more than three years - and MEC, which holds the Wrigley's account. Mars acquired Wrigley’s global business late last year.

First-round presentations take place on Monday 23 February, after which three to four agencies will be shortlisted for the second round pitch in mid-March.

Mars’ billings total is around RMB200 million (US$29 million). 

The company’s creative account is held by Nitro in China.
