M1 hires Nokia Singapore marketer Ramalingam

SINGAPORE - MobileOne has recruited Nokia marketer Ramalingam Shanmugam following the exit of director of marketing services Sharon Tan (Media 17 July).

Ramalingam - or "Rama" - takes on the role of assistant director of marketing services, and will report to chief marketing officer, P Subramaniam (pictured). Meanwhile, the search continues for a replacement for Tan, who brings to an end 12 years with the company.

Ramalingam was marketing manager at Nokia Singapore, working on the S60 brand. He will begin his new role at M1 on Wednesday next week.
