LG clarifies digital arrangements following AOR claim

GLOBAL - LG has clarified its digital arrangements after one agency asserted that it had been chosen as the group's agency-of-record.

LG clarifies digital arrangements following AOR claim

Kenneth Hong, director of global communications at LG Electronics, says it has tapped iCrossing for a very important global project. However it did not define this as an 'agency-of-record' assignment, and Hong says the group is still working with other digital agencies.

"We continue to work with a number of great agencies on the digital side, including Mindshare and Publicis Modem," he told Campaign. "Each has its own strengths and when you have a couple dozen product lines spread over a hundred subsidiaries like LG does, it helps to have a few partners working with you simultaneously."

iCrossing issued a press release this week, noting that it had become the 'agency-of-record' for LG Electronics. The press release has been removed from the iCrossing website today. A number of media reported the story, including Campaign Asia-Pacific which carried it from a partner website in the UK.

Campaign was not able to contact iCrossing today.
