HONG KONG - ABN Amro regional head of PR Anna Langford is to lead marketing for the new bank that emerges after Royal Bank of Scotland's (RBS) takeover of the Dutch lender.

Langford to lead marketing at RBS/ABN Amro

Langford will assume the role of head of marketing and communication at the newly combined RBS/ABN Amro entity, which is expected to see the rollout of a major rebranding initiative in Asia-Pacific.

Langford will lead communications for the RBS Group’s two main businesses in Asia: global markets, and retail/commercial, reporting to Asia-Pacific global banking and markets chief executive John McCormick, and global director of group communications Andrew McLaughlin.

Last year, RBS led Spain's Banco Santander SA and Fortis in the three-way, 72 billion-euro (US$113 billion) acquisition of Amsterdam-based ABN Amro. RBS keeps the Dutch bank’s investment-banking and Asian operations.
