Johnson & Johnson has given exclusive rights to Water Oasis, a skincare retail specialist, to operate Neutrogena counters in department stores across mainland China - a sales model J&J is considering extending to other markets in the future.
The three-year deal, which has an option to renew for another three years, charges Water Oasis with value-added services such as direct mail promotions, VIP programmes and product trials. J&J will be responsible for territory-wide marketing and promotion. Water Oasis plans to expand the number of Neutrogena counters in China from eight to 40 by the end of the year, signaling a major push for the brand.
