Gerson takes up dual role at head of Y&R Vietnam

Adrian Gerson has been named managing director and creative director of Y&R's Vietnam operation, after spending the last six years as regional creative director for the network on Colgate Palmolive.

Gerson takes up dual role at head of Y&R Vietnam
"I'd been regional creative director on Colgate Palmolive for five-and-a-half years and it was time for a new team to come in," said Gerson, adding that his objectives would be to grow the agency to reflect the upturn in business from new regional clients such as Singapore Tourism Board, and to focus on account growth.

A 25-year veteran of the Asian advertising scene, Gerson fills roles left vacant following the departures of previous MD Lawson Dixon, and previous CD George MacIntosh. After working at Batey Ads since the late '70s, Gerson moved to Australia, where he started his own agency before rejoining Batey a few years later.

Y&R Vietnam's client list includes Colgate, Ford and Caltex.
