Fonterra tipped to review media, creative in Asia

Dairy giant Fonterra Brands has declined to comment on the news that it is running parallel reviews of its creative and media requirements in Asia.

Fonterra tipped to review media, creative in Asia
The company, which is reportedly eyeing expansion to Asia and the rest of the world, currently works with FCB in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. It is believed FCB, Y&R, Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO are involved in the review. On the media side, contenders include FCB, MEC and Carat. In addition to Australasia, it is believed markets under review include Sri Lanka, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and the Middle East -- all to be overseen by Fonterra's Singapore office.

Fonterra was previously known as New Zealand Milk, before being rebranded last year. It recently inked a joint venture with mainland Chinese dairy company San Lu Group. The deal will see Fonterra buy a 43 per cent stake in San Lu for US$107 million, giving it access to China's domestic-dominated dairy market.
