FCB NY names Chant for new role
Former Publicis Singapore executive creative director Rodd Chant has been appointed to the newly-created role of executive vice president and ECD of FCB New York, effective immediately.
Reporting to FCB New York chairman and chief creative officer Christoph Becker, Chant (pictured) will focus on three core areas: brand and general advertising; interactive and online communications, and direct and CRM, with a client list which includes Diet Coke, Kraft, Nabisco and Motorola, among others.
Commenting on his move, Chant said: "Everyone at FCB New York, from the top down, has a passion for doing great creative work across all mediums, and better still, they know what great creative ideas are."
Chant quit Publicis Singapore in January after just one year as ECD, citing the departure of worldwide creative director David Droga as one of the key reasons behind his move. Prior to joining Publicis in January 2005, Chant was the founder and creative of independent Australian consultancy Born.
