CONNECTIONS: CCG.XM tipped to win StarHub rebrand work

SINGAPORE: StarHub has parted company with its interactive marketing agency AKQA amid speculation that it will hand the brief to CCG.XM. The Bates subsidiary pitched against OgilvyOne, which was earlier hired to audit the telecommunications company's website.

CONNECTIONS: CCG.XM tipped to win StarHub rebrand work

The parting with AKQA coincides with the company's decision to rebrand its pay-TV and broadband acquisition Singapore Cable Vision under the StarHub banner.

As part of the rebranding, the operator will develop a new site which incorporates its full service offering - narrow and broadband internet, mobile telecommunications, long distance IDD, pay-TV and data service.

StarHub is also working to encourage its dial-up internet customers to switch to SCV MaxOnline, its broadband internet service. Jeannie Ong, StarHub assistant vice-president of corporate communications, said: "We are increasingly investing more in the field of interactive marketing because we want customers to try our services and get interested, involved and excited in our branding."

"StarHub's interactive marketing supports all the above-the-line campaigns (by Batey) and serves as an information service about our products, services and promotions."
