
Bears, dragons and Coca-Cola are joining forces in a new television
commercial to welcome Chinese New Year, with the ever-popular polar bear
family celebrating the start of the Year of the Dragon in a TVC created
specifically for Chinese audiences.
"We wanted to do something really special for our Hong Kong consumers to
mark this auspicious occasion," said Swire Coca-Cola marketing director
George Smith.
"The polar bears seem almost human - they personify family values and
fun."
Since their first appearance on TV screens in 1993, the Coca-Cola polar
bears have become worldwide favourites with consumers both old and
young.
