Burson, Fleishman-Hillard triumph at Asian PR Awards

At a record turnout at the Asian PR Awards 2000 in Hong Kong late

last month, Burson-Marsteller and Fleishman-Hillard Hong Kong took the

year's top accolades.

Burson-Marsteller was named Asian Network of the Year, while

Fleishman-Hillard took the Consultancy of the Year title home.

This year also marked the end of the domination of Ogilvy PR at the

awards.

Ogilvy had led the table on overall award wins for the past two years,

but this year, rival Shandwick scooped top place with two straight wins

and two honourable mentions.

Newell PR's two-year domination of the technology category was also

broken.

Hill & Knowlton Hong Kong took the top accolade with a campaign for

Internet marketing company beenz Greater China.

Despite the changes, the awards continue to be dominated by the regional

forces of Shandwick and Ogilvy PR.

Also emerging strongly this year was Burson-Marsteller, which ascended

the charts with two awards.
