Beer challenger packs star punch

Beer na Beer, the Asian Brewery lager that was launched years ago to challenge the classic San Miguel Beer, has rolled out a new multimedia advertising campaign by its newly-appointed agency, DDB Philippines.

Beer challenger packs star punch
After almost two decades, Beer na Beer still remains a challenger, despite being 20 per cent cheaper than San Miguel Beer. Nonon del Carmen, DDB's newly-appointed ECD, said that the campaign shows that with the savings consumers get from Beer na Beer, they can buy other treats. Costing 80 million pesos (US$1.5 million), the campaign launched with a 45-second TVC introducing celebrity endorsers Bearwin Meily, Bernard Palanca and Benjie Paras, as well as the slogan 'Beer ni bro', an acronym doubling for BNB (Beer na Beer). Del Carmen said the campaign would be complemented with below-the-line efforts, live appearances and three more TVCs.
