ABN Amro looks to consolidate media

OMD, Doremus and four other agencies are gunning for the business, believed to be worth US$15 million.

The pitch is being held in the Dutch banking group's regional headquarters in Hong Kong. The brief is to handle ABN Amro's planning and buying for its consumer and commercial activity in key markets — including China, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Dubai, South Korea and Australia — where the bank's media activity is handled by a large number of agencies.

The pitch follows the launch of ABN Amro's global 'Making more possible' positioning in November last year. The campaign followed a rebrand in 2003, which saw its global subsidiaries adopt the group's green and yellow shield logo.
