The 2010 Taipei International Gardening and Horticulture Exposition is organized by Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism. O&M pitched against Bates141 and Dentsu.
The event marks the first time Taiwan has been authorised by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) to host the exposition, which will be the biggest international event in Taiwan next year.
The agency will work on strategy, creative ideas, public relations, online activities, and media planning and buying. The campaign will be launched next year.
Kelly Kao, business director at O&M Taiwan, said: “By working in partnership with the international expo and with the support and recognition of its people, Taipei hopes to enhance its international image as a global centre.”
Separately, Ta Chong Bank has named Ogilvy & Mather to handle its advertising and communications after a pitch against Bates141 and a local agency.
Ta Chong Bank currently has 68 branches in Taiwan. The client previously used a number of agencies, and the appointment marks the first time the bank has worked with one integrated agency to boost brand awareness and standout from the cluttered banking sector.
Ta Chong Bank’s first campaign on wealth management will launch at the end of August.
