“We are expanding as we have businesses in these two areas, and clients ask us to be on ground,” Simon Bell, director of strategy at Landor Singapore, told Campaign Asia-Pacific. “In Kuala Lumpur, we've recently taken some space within Y&R and are looking for people for account servicing and creative.”

Bell will take charge of the Kuala Lumpur office, which will be launched within the next six weeks.

The brand consultancy currently works with national carrier Malaysia Airlines and most notably redesigned the airline's logo to support a change in positioning as a premium carrier.

The office in Melbourne, meanwhile, was launched about two months ago under the leadership of Dominic Walsh, managing director of Landor's Sydney office.

Landor is looking at further opportunities to expand into other markets within the region. The company's Jakarta office has also recently come under Landor Southeast Asia, having previously reported to the Hong Kong office.

VML Qais, sister digital agency under Y&R,will also be continuing its expansion across Southeast Asia with a launch scheduled in Indonesia shortly and after that, an office in Malaysia.
