In its sixth edition, the Singapore Media Awards recognises and celebrates the importance of outstanding media thinking and strategising behind highly successful advertising campaigns in the city-state.

Chan has been appointed due to her local and international experience in the industry. She was previously recognised for her industry contribution in 2007 when she was the only contender and subsequent winner in the Media Planner/Buyer of the Year category at Media’s Agency of the Year Awards.

Chan has been actively serving as a member of the 4As Media and Research Committee since 2008. She was co-opted as an executive committee member in 2009 and took over as chairman of the committee in October last year.

On her appointment, Chan said: “The SMA is an excellent platform that genuinely recognises great, holistic and effective work. I am honoured to take up the role of chairperson and really looking forward to seeing the best campaigns celebrated and rewarded for delivering exceptional results for brands.”
