SINGAPORE - Universal McCann Singapore has appointed Clinton Simpson its new managing director.

Universal McCann Singapore appoints Clinton Simpson as managing director
Simpson will replace Kenneth Tsang, who is stepping down at the end of the month.

Simpson joins UM from bellamyhayden in Australia, where he was the general manager. He has almost two decades of experience in the advertising industry.

A press statement from UM mentioned that Simpson's wide range of client category experience would "ensure that UM is well served to maintain the strong growth” of its business in the Asia-Pacific region.

Henry Tajer (pictured), president of UM Asia-Pacific, said, “UM is a dynamic organisation, focused on growth and development through core product excellence and strategic collaboration with key partners and stakeholders. Clinton’s involvement and leadership in Singapore will enable us to leverage our objectives even further.”

“Singapore is an important, strategic market for UM in Asia-Pacific and having Clinton’s strategic expertise fits with how we want to be positioned in Singapore locally and as a regional centre,” he continued.

“Kenneth Tsang has been a fine leader, and during his time here has led UM and Initiative to a series of special achievements,” Tajer concluded. “We thank him for his leadership and contributions, and we wish him luck with his future plans.”

Tsang took over the role of managing director at UM in March after the departure of Gaurav Bhasin.
