Thailand Adwatch: Comical take on 'best tea leaf' battle takes Unif to top spot

A tea worker's race against a ghost worm tickled Thai funnybones in Unif's latest TVC, as Amy White reports. Local Thai beverage brand Unif Green Tea has overtaken Coca-Cola to take top place in this month's Adwatch viewer recall chart, with a new commercial titled 'Ghost worm' which pushes a 'best quality' image. The commercial is part of a series of ads from the award-winning BBDO Bangkok 'Worm' campaign, an initiative aimed at educating consumers on the quality of the green tea leaves used by Unif Tea by humorously showing a tea leaf picker in heated competition with a worm for the best leaves. The storyline of the latest TVC shows the same farmer going about his work in the fields at 3am. Ghosts surround him, yet the only one he fears is a ghost worm, as he knows he will have to fight with the worm for the best leaves again.
