Singapore tops prestigious ICCA rankings for ninth consecutive time

In Asia, Beijing followed Singapore in second place while in third place was Hong Kong.
Bangkok came in fourth place, Taipei in fifth and Kuala Lumpur in sixth.

ICCA researchers identified more than 6,500 events in 2007, which is up 800 on 2006.
The ICCA rankings cover meetings organised by international associations that take place regularly and rotate between at least three countries.

Contributing to its success, Singapore will host a series of inaugural tradeshows this year,
such as the recently concluded BikeAsia, the upcoming Japan International Apparel Machinery (JIAM) tradeshow and the first ever ITB Asia.

Another event being the International Dental Exhibition and Meeting (IDEM) organised
by Koelnmesse.

IDEM 2008 was held from April 4 to 6 at Suntec Singapore International Convention and
Exhibition Centre and the event will be anchored for another three years in Singapore for
2010, 2012 and 2014.

IDEM 2010 is expected to draw about 5,500 international dentistry experts for a trade fair,
conference and gala events.
