MEDIA CAREERS: Kam named CEO of Metro Broadcast HK

Stepping into the shoes of Mr Carl Chang, who has moved on to

Tom.com, Mr Kam Kwok Leung has taken over as CEO of Metro Broadcast

Corporation in Hong Kong.



After extensive stints in the broadcasting industry, which included

being GM of Star TV's Chinese channel from 1991, Mr Kam joined Metro

Broadcast in 1998 as a principal consultant.



Mr Raymond Leung has been hired to work with Ms Angela Pih at Dentsu

Young & Rubicam, in the role of associate director, business

development.



Making the leap into the advertising world from his former director of

marketing post at The Kerry Centre Hotel in Beijing, Mr Leung is

handling regional projects from DY&R's Hong Kong office.



Texon Media has appointed Mr Teren Lai as sales director.



Texon chief executive Shirley Dirkin said the appointment was part of a

drive to increase Texon's panel network in Hong Kong from 2,000 to 4,000

by year end.



Prior to his hire at Texon, Mr Lai was assistant general manager of In

Express Media.



The international interactive sales division at Turner International

Asia-Pacific has appointed Ms Holly Heritage in the newly-created role

of regional sales director.



Turner Asia-Pacific senior VP, ad sales, Dave Dickman said Ms Heritage's

hire was the result of the increased growth of the Internet business,

warranting the expansion of Turner's interactive sales division in

Asia-Pacific.



Prior to joining Turner International, she was head of interactive

advertising sales at the Far Eastern Economic Review.



AdForce Inc has appointed Mr David Ho as managing director for the

firm's Asian arm, AdForce Asia.



Delivering Internet advertising to the region, Mr Ho's role will include

overseeing the company's development and business operations in China,

Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.



Before his hire, Mr Ho served as vice-president of operations for iMagic

Infomedia Technology, overseeing worldwide business operations.



He reports directly to AdForce CEO Chuck Berger.
