McCann names Ida Rezvani president, global chief client officer

Ida Rezvani has been appointed president, global chief client officer, McCann and McCann Worldgroup, in a newly created role at the agency. Rezvani has been tapped to enhance value and innovation across McCann’s global clients. 

Rezvani will report to Daryl Lee, global CEO, McCann & McCann Worldgroup. Her new role finds her helping scale new capabilities and practices to deepen client relationships, as well as expanding strategic and creative services.

“At McCann, we are restless in our pursuit of client value and seek to constantly innovate the creativity and capabilities we bring to our global clients and their brands,” said Lee. “Ida is a black belt in client stewardship and a fierce champion of the power of global brands.”

Rezvani brings over 20 years of client leadership experience from the agency side with Dentsu, WPP and Publicis. She joins McCann from Publicis, where she served as the global client lead for Pfizer, leading an integrated team that helped drive marketing transformation. 

Prior to Publicis, Rezvani was chief client officer at Dentsu Americas and senior partner, WPP global client leader team IHG, driving revenue growth, client satisfaction and leading award-winning creative work including Effies and IPA Effectiveness for brands including Subway, Virgin Trains and a Grand Prix for M&S, along with a Cannes Lion for Crayola.

Rezvani said she chose to go to McCann because of its 100-year history and heritage, calling it a “power brand” with an enduring brand platform in Truth Well Told. She cited ad campaigns Priceless for Mastercard and Because I’m Worth It for L’Oréal Paris as great examples of what McCann does best.

“I am looking forward to using ‘Truth Well Told’ [philosophy] to help our clients. It’s also an exciting time to join McCann because we're investing in areas that clients need and want more of to help drive their businesses,” said Rezvani, citing data-enhanced insights and analytics around brands and audiences through McCann’s global intelligence unit, McCann Truth Central, plus social and influencer content led by McCann Content Studios, and scaled content using AI through global production agency Craft.

Rezvani noted that she spent her career working on iconic brands known for creativity and business impact, starting at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe, which she says were agency founders known for their entrepreneurialism, unrelenting pursuit of creativity and effectiveness.

“I have also spent a big chunk of my career on scaled, network-level integrated clients, so I know what it takes to drive integration and collaboration across a complex marketing ecosystem to accelerate efficiency and effectiveness,” states Rezvani.

Her new role allows Rezvani to solve complex problems and drive creativity while putting the clients at the centre of the equation.

“I am looking forward to working with our people and clients to create more enduring brand platforms,” says Rezvani.
