It is understood that five agencies were invited – incumbent Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO/Proximity, Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi – to the pitch held last month, for its entire local remit including prepaid category, Hotlink.

It is unclear when the results will be announced. This pitch followed a report in June that the telecommunications giant planned to review its local creative business.

Maxis had split its creative business, worth around US$60 million, between Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO in January 2007 after a pitch that involved BBDO, Leo Burnett Y&R and Lowe.
