Publicis Groupe has appointed a former global head of influence at Ogilvy and WPP Open X as its new global influencer lead.
Rahul Titus has joined Publicis in the newly created role of global influencer lead, reporting to Publicis Media global chief executive Talia Raviv.
Titus announced his departure from Ogilvy in October, after eight years at the agency. He joined Ogilvy from WPP’s Mediacom in 2017 to lead its influence practice across the U.K. and EMEA, before being promoted to a global role in 2022.
For the past four years, Titus has also served as global influence lead for WPP’s Open X, a global marketing agency launched to serve The Coca-Cola Company’s portfolio of brands.
During his career, he served as a director of social talent at talent management agency YMU and as a product development manager at Dentsu Aegis.
Following his exit, Ogilvy has promoted Imogen Coles to lead its influence practice across the EMEA region.
In November, John Harding-Easson, previously Ogilvy’s head of influence across EMEA, joined Publicis as its influence growth and client lead. He will report to Titus.
Commenting on his appointment on LinkedIn, Titus said, “So very excited to share that I’ve joined Publicis Groupe to lead the influencer capability globally."
“In this new role, I will be bringing together our influencer agencies to deliver a consistent influencer solution for our clients that drives impact and growth," he said.
PRWeek contacted Publicis for comment, but the group declined to comment.
Publicis' primary PR network in the U.S. and globally is MSL.
