India: Headlines - Contract to handle HSBC India advertising account
The HSBC advertising account will be handled by Contract Advertising in India. While J. Walter Thompson was appointed the lead WPP agency on the business, in India, the agency already handles the conflicting business of Standard Chartered Bank. Contract, a fully-owned subsidiary of JWT, represented India in the global pitch, and will take over the account in the country. However, Contract is likely to lose at least one conflicting account, the consumer banking business of ABN Amro.
