The activity, which carries the tagline ‘The handbag is not enough', involves a website that showcases HP's products. The site asks users questions to work out what sort of handbag would suit them; based on the answers, relevant HP products are suggested.
The rationale is that, like the handbag, the PC has become an essential item in a woman's life. The site also includes a game and a prize draw.
"HP recognises that women are increasingly playing a leading role in technology purchasing decisions, whether for use in business, individually or in a family setting," said Dennis Mark, vice-president, marketing for HP Asia-Pacific and Japan.
