1 The Lotte Hotel Jeju is centrally situated in the Jungmun tourist complex. The hotel has 500 rooms and 29 suites in a setting reminiscent of the resort hotels of Macau or Las Vegas. There are three windmills, an ice-rink during the winter months and a replica volcano. The hotel can host up to 2,000 delegates for a reception. The North Korean football team stayed here and a group from the Standard Chartered Bank in Britain also recently held an event here.

2 In the same complex is the 429-room Shilla Jeju, set in its own cliff-top gardens.
The property has experience in hosting big international events. Samsung is a regular client and Amway Korea has held events here for ten years. The hotel is littered with antiques, art and sculptures from the likes of Salvador Dali – and yes, they are the originals. The hotel has two wings and there is a grand ballroom that can hold 500 people. There is also a function lawn that can hold 700 people.

3 Next door, the smaller Hyatt Regency is a different style of hotel altogether. It was the first five-star property to be built in the Jugman resort. There is a pond in the lobby that is home to the hotel’s resident duck.
Glass lifts can be seen zapping up and down between the hotel’s 224 guestrooms, which
are decorated in a minimalist style and have good-sized balconies. There is a huge
outdoor area for 1,700 people and a banquet room that can hold up to 250.

4 Shine Ville is an architecturally interesting property. The condo-style resort typically targets middle-class Koreans and is excellent value for money. There is a swimming pool on the cliff’s edge and an indoor swimming pool with an outside section that can hold 1,600 people. Samsung Life insurance held their 50th anniversary here recently. Convention facilities are
excellent with ten naturally lit meeting rooms.

Kia recently held an event in the grand ballroom for 800 delegates. The Winter Garden also offers meeting facilities and an indoor swimming pool.
