Google has appointed Ben King to run its newly formed Singapore and Malaysia cluster, alongside the expanded SEA Agency and Partner (A&P) function.

King said in a LinkedIn post that he will oversee sales and operations for both markets and lead the A&P team to cover SEA and SA Frontier. The group brings together agency and partner leads across Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore, working with media, creator, creative, tech and platform partners.

The combined Singapore and Malaysia teams would allow Google to “deliver best-in-class strategies and vertical expertise” and roll out AI-driven products more effectively. King added that the broader A&P consolidation is aimed at creating a more consistent approach across fast-growing regional markets.

“I’m incredibly excited to work with the exceptional group of folks we have across these teams,” he wrote.

King’s new role follows several leadership shifts at Google in the region.

In September, Prep Palacios was appointed country manager in the Philippines. She reports to regional vice president Sapna Chadha. Meanwhile, Jason Tedjasukmana stepped down in October after more than a decade at the helm of corporate communications in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
