Galaxy Cotai Mega Resort and Casino seeks creative partner

MACAU - Galaxy Entertainment Macau, owned by tycoon Lui Che-woo, is pitching its Galaxy Cotai Mega Resort and Casino development creative brief, with three agencies, including TBWA and JWT, in the running at an initial credentials presentation.

The first phase of the construction, which includes 1,500 deluxe rooms and suites with 450 tables and 1,000 slots plus a water park, spa, retail outlets, restaurants, convention and entertainment facilities, is expected to be completed by mid-2008.

Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited is a leading operator of gaming and entertainment properties in Macau.

Galaxy, a Hong Kong-listed company, currently operates the Waldo Hotel and Casino and recently opened the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino.

Galaxy said its share of Macau’s rapidly expanding gaming market grew to 22 per cent in January 2007, with gross gaming revenue reaching HK$3.7 billion.
