The first event takes place within the informal confines of Kee Club in Hong Kong, but will eventually be rolled out across the region.
The Lounge will be held in the bar's downstairs section, and will be open only to members of the advertising, marketing and PR industries.
To ensure a healthy turnout, drinks are offered at half price, and kick-off is scheduled for 6pm.
Handling musical duties will be DJ and sometime adman, Chris Kyme, who confirmed a "laid-back music policy, but we're not having any punk rock", with partner-in-crime DJ Vinnie who also played at Media's Advertising Awards.
Kyme feels that the industry sorely needs a chance to unwind together, citing the success of Singapore's Wine Bar event as a good example.
"It will be part networking and part socialising," says Kyme. "People go down to Wine Bar to let off steam at the end of the week. There's a need for some sort of informal gathering, and it should be a mixture of expats and locals."
And just to reassure any concerned hedonists, Diary can confirm that all shenanigans, whether shameless or not, will remain firmly off the record. Unless they absolutely beg a column.
