BANGKOK INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND EXHIBITION CENTRE (BITEC)
The basics: BITEC currently holds events for up to 20,000 delegates and 100,000 visitors a day. Four divisible rooms totalling 20,000 sqm and a 10,000 sqm column-free hall are well suited for exhibitions, banquets and plenary sessions. The centre’s 16 breakout rooms offer additional space for meetings of between 60 and 450 people.

Latest news: BITEC is planning a major expansion to increase its exhibition space from 36,000 sqm to 70,000 sqm, with the suggestion that the expansion could be as big as 100,000 sqm. BITEC is also upgrading its facilities. A new restaurant opened recently while an existing restaurant is undergoing renovation.

IMPACT
The basics: IMPACT offers event planners 160,000 sqm of space. It stars the 60,000 sqm
column-free Challenger Exhibition Hall and 16 meeting rooms between 88 sqm and
214 sqm. Organisers can also book the eighthall, 47,000 sqm Exhibition Centre with six
breakout rooms, the 30,000 sqm Convention Centre with six 500 sqm meeting rooms
and the 12,000-seat IMPACT Arena.
IMPACT’s new US$16 million, 3,500 sqm Royal Jubilee Ballroom – Thailand’s largest –
seats 2,500 guests for banquets and 3,500 people in a theatre configuration, while
the 2,000 sqm Grand Diamond Ballroom is ideal for mid-sized functions. IMPACT also
features the 4,000 sqm Sky Kitchen with 13 restaurants.

The basics: The US$10.5 million Royal Paragon Hall offers event planners 12,000 sqm of convention and exhibitionspace in the Siam Paragon shopping mall.
Royal Paragon’s three halls can be configured to accommodate up to 5,200 delegates and
300 booths. Five meeting rooms can each seat up to 24 classroom style.
Drive from airport: Situated in Bangkok’s downtown business district, the Paragon is about 30 minutes from the airport Nearest hotels: The nearby 400-room, six-star Kempinski Hotel Siam is scheduled to open next year, and the 429-room Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square has six meeting rooms. The basics: The Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld is the city’s newest convention and exhibition venue. The facility works particularly well for presentations and media conferences. CentralWorld offers meetings facilities in excess of 10,000 sqm with a ceiling height of 13.5 metres and space for up to 6,000 delegates in a single pillarless environment.

Nearest hotels: The 517-room Dusit Thani Bangkok is a 15-minute drive away or 10 minutes by Skytrain. The Central World Hotel is integrated with the convention centre.
