CONNECTIONS: CNBC boosts live element with new Nokia SMS link

Powered by Matchem software, the new interactive features have been introduced on CNBC's Squawk Box and Business Centre.

Viewers will be able to use SMS to send in questions and comments, which will be aired live along with responses. The service will also be used to organise real-time SMS opinion polls. "The new features allow us to be interactive in our programming. This enables ss to know what our viewers are interested in and provides an edge to our live programming," said Cynthia Owens, vice-president for news programming.
