In his new role, Hogan will support managing director Daisy Primayanti in the professional development of the Indonesian team. Primayanti came on board earlier this month.

Hogan brings 13 years of international experience in the public relations industry, with particular expertise in the corporate, financial and technology sectors. His career experience includes four years in Asia-Pacific working in South Korea and China.

“We are delighted to welcome Charles to Burson-Marsteller. We believe that Burson-Marsteller has significant scope for growth in Indonesia and we are looking forward to working with Charles to further enhance our consultancy offering and support our operations in this strategically important market,” said Primayanti.

Responding to the appointment, Hogan said, “Burson-Marsteller has an exceptional reputation, both in Indonesia and globally for providing top quality advice and consultancy services to clients. I am excited at the prospect of working with them in Indonesia to build the firm’s business."

Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Hogan was associate director at MKC Communications, one of Ireland’s pre-eminent corporate communications and public affairs consultancies. Before that, he held leadership positions with Edelman in Asia-Pacific, first as head of the firm’s international PR practice in Seoul and subsequently leading the technology practice for China out of Beijing.

Hogan’s career client portfolio includes major multinational companies including Kia Motors Corporation, LG Philips LCD, Standard Chartered Bank and BASF. He started his career as a business reporter with the Sunday Business Post, Ireland’s main economic and political newspaper.
